Yes, like clockwork the birthday returned to remind me I was another year older. Mom had asked me what I wanted this year and without hesitation I said towels. I even gave her the exact kind I wanted. I wanted the chubby girl/long hair towel. If you've ever been a chubby girl you know what I'm talking about. Not the kid towels. The I am an adult mother towel. The same goes for long hair. Not any ordinary towel will do. I was so excited when mom gave me my towels I couldn't wait to try them on. It was like a brand new outfit for me. Thank you mom for my towels.
This blog tells a little about my family, and some of the day to day interests we have.

Thinking Place
This is my "thinking place". This is the park I go to everyday for lunch. This particular day it was dark and dreary outside and the water wasn't particularly looking blue, but you get the point. I try to save money like we all do and I pack my lunch and go one street over to the park. I could walk, but I haven't yet. Sometimes fast food for lunch sounds tempting, but I've gotten use to the park. And quite frankly I really enjoy just sitting at the park and enjoying my lunch that me and my daughter make every morning.
Comment Section
This picture was cute just thought I'd post it, however it has nothing to do with the post itself. As some of you know or may not know there is a comment section at the bottom of each post. You click on the word comment and put your reply. Sometimes it takes longer than a second to appear so be a little patient. Anyhow a lot of times I hear from people I haven't heard from in awhile, and other times I get really good advice or feedback on a topic. I'm taking this post to acknowledge some of these comments and people. I appreciated the lady who commented on Maddie's VCD and gave me all the great links to access all kinds of information on the topic. I appreciate Stepphanie finding me a Charlie Brown glass and Danielle who sent me the link to e-bay to purchase the ones that got broke yet again. I appreciate Tracy from my early years looking me up and commenting on the Chubby girl post. I appreciate each one of you who take the time to comment good or bad. I appreciate all of you who read my blog and stay connected to me and my families adventures. Thank you.
Catch Up
Yes I know I'm a little behind on posting. I'm going to try to catch everyone up on my life's activities over the last couple weeks this weekend. We will see how that goes. Let's start with Mother's Day. My children made me some great cards and bookmarks that fit me to a tee. Those are super special to me because they come from the heart, and they are actually thinking about me as a person during the time they make these cards. Brandon created me a poem out of my name. Each letter of my name had a different quality about me. (Very special) The last "e" in my name he wrote emperous. He said mom that means kinda like a queen. I loved it. Madeline's bookmark was deep and choked me up because it was also a sign of how much older she is getting. As for my own mom Wendy had invited us all over for a special dinner to celebrate with mom. The dinner was devine. Her and Dave out did themselves. The children played hard as usual. The top pictures are them playing in the living room. Sienna, Sierra, and Bub were playing some kind of racing game that they seem to enjoy. Maddie and Levi were bonding. Levi is so funny because he won't go to me at all, but Maddie he runs right up to. The last picture is Wendy's "shark" she loves this thing. She tried to get us to try it out. Her and mom were having so much fun with this thing mopping up the floor. As for me I just watched. For them two there were really enjoying themselves they were like watching one of those infomerrical (?) on late night tv. You know the ones where you actually think that product is just that good. I was not buying it...to me it was still just a fancy mop.

Sandle Time
Yes it is that time....sandal time. I've been working on my feet a lot lately, and after the funky feet link my sister just sent me I'll be working that much harder. I have to say my heels are the hardest to tend to. If ya have any ideas please feel free to share them with me. Also what is appropriate nail polish color for your toes?
Conversation?
This post has no pictures for the obvious reasons. The other day at work I had to use the bathroom normally I avoid these at all cost. I am one of those people who go in do their thing wash hands and leave. I do not share make up tips around the sink or anything else. So I am in the stall and I hear someone start talking to me. This is the one thing I find very uncomforting. Is it just me or does others feel conversation shouldn't be exchanged in the stalls? Seriously is it just me?

Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day Mom!!! Where do I even try to begin on how special my mom is to me? She truly has a heart of gold. I'm not just saying that either, her actions speak louder than words. She loves her family with all her heart and soul. She still puts her own life on hold sometimes to be there for us.It is remarkable the strength that she has inside. My children know how fortunate they are to have her in their lives. My mom and dad are the only grandparents my children have, and dad doesn't live up here so they don't get to see him but a couple times a year. I feel that mom sometimes play double duties with my kids in the grandparent department with attending all their events of all kinds. I don't say it enough, but thank you mom from the bottom of my heart for all you do. I love you more each day of my life.
The Latest
I posted this picture of the cute little tree that I loved when I was in Columbus to say this...there in bloom up here now and all they make me do is sneeze. I really don't have allergies, but this little tree will make me sneeze like you wouldn't believe. Work is going along fine. The kids are such little troopers. They have recently learnt to play on my guilt of working. You would think at their ages they wouldn't do that. Madeline recently had a personal best finish at track. She also gets to go to Cedar Point this week because of good grades, and good behavior. She is pretty excited. Brandon had his first B on an interim. He assured me that would be an A by report card time. I like my kids to do their best of course I would love A's but sometimes that isn't always possible. He's going to the Science Center for his field trip this week, but he seems more excited about field day than this field trip. My cousin Christy Marie announced last week that her and her husband Matt are expecting their first child. They are very excited! That's my week in review.

Baby Lunch
Today we had a baby shower/lunch with the family. There was some plans that went a little off center so we threw a baby lunch with the immediate family. It was very nice. (It's always good when I get to see Heather no matter what the reasoning is.) We had the baby try on a few outfits in the above pictures. I think he looks very handsome with them on. Yes I know the cake has pink flowers on it, but Bub liked the heart that was on it. When shopping off Heather's registry I noticed there was no baby wipes on the registry. I asked Heather about this and she told me she didn't think shopping for wipes was fun so she didn't put them on there. I think she thinks she may not need wipes. Wipes, diapers, and receiving blankets was the one thing I couldn't have enough of with my children, maybe times have changed. Maybe. It was a lovely day, and next time I see her the baby will be here. Yeah!!! I know that Heather is not biologically my child, but she's always been one of my daughters. Even though she has a mother who loves her very much and has always been there. I'm more of a back up type I guess. Heather holds that place in my heart, and this baby will hold a place right next to her. It's hard to explain unless you've been here, but it's special nonetheless.
Family Fun Night
I took the kids to family fun night Saturday up at the school. Levi was a little young yet to go, and since I don't have a mini van I have no additional seat in the car. So since he wasn't going with Aunt Shell I tried to compensate with a little chocolate. (Trying to keep good memories with the child even if it is with food.) Off went the other four and myself to fun night. We arrive at the front doors to the bike helmets. The local hospital stops at some of these functions and for a two dollar donation sizes your child's head exactly for a proper fitting bike helmet. (That alone would have been enough for me to donate $2) They let your child pick the color they want and know that they are just a little safer, not to mention teach the child how to wear the helmet correctly. They all picked the color red, so me and Maddie held each helmet in separate hands not to confuse them.
We entered the gym to find all kinds of inflatables and a pitching clock. The kids loved these things. Maddie's favorite was the pitching clock, Sienna's was the slide, and Sierra & Bub liked the obstacle course and the bungee cord thing. After we spend quite a bit of time in the gym Bub & Sierra went to play games and Maddie & Sienna went to the crafting tables. I think it was a great activity for the school to put on, and the kids had a great time. (I had a great time too.)

Not Meant To Be
You all know my drama and sentimental attachment I have with my Charlie Brown glasses. Thanks to Stephanie I have two. Well the count is back to one. Yes it is true I don't let the kids touch the glasses anymore. I had one plate and one glass in the sink. Bub threw a spoon in the sink, and yes it happened. The spoon hit my glass and another one broke. The final glass will be put away in the hutch to only look at and come out on special occasions. A special occasion would be a time that only I am home and will drink out of it wash it and put it away before anyone could possibly come in contact with it.
Adjusting
Where do I begin? Well the kids are adjusting pretty good to me going back to work. It is very different though. Brandon has become even closer with Sierra. She is more like a sister than a cousin to him. He even worried about how Sienna was doing with her sleepover last weekend. And he worries about being a good example to little Levi. Brandon has even been helping out more around the house. The incentive to get an allowance is what speaks Brandon's language. Madeline is not crazy about me with the job thing. She likes to share her day as soon as she gets home, daddy has a hard time with teenage girl drama. Madeline now waits till I get home to share the days events. Daddy wants to protect his little girl from the big bad world. Mommy tries to teach her little girl how to cope and handle the big bad world. Completely different paths. Some people including myself once upon a time think that children need their mom the most when they are little. I have finally come to terms that children always need their mom no matter what. The needs just change as they get older.
